In Nederland duurt het relatief lang voordat nieuwe geregistreerde geneesmiddelen daadwerkelijk breed toegankelijk zijn voor patiënten. Dat blijkt uit het onderzoeksrapport ‘Every day counts’ dat in november 2021 door adviesbureau Vintura werd opgesteld.1 De redenen achter die trage markttoegang zijn niet altijd even helder.

Dr. Fränzel van Duijnhoven is werkzaam bij Wageningen Universiteit als universitair docent voeding, genen en dikkedarmkanker. Haar onderzoek is gericht op de rol van voedings- en leefstijlfactoren in de ontwikkeling en het verloop van zowel sporadische als erfelijke dikkedarmkanker, zoals het Lynch-syndroom.
