In 2015 is de multidisciplinaire ‘evidence-based’ richtlijn ‘Wervelmetastasen’ van de Landelijke Werkgroep Neuro-Oncologie (LWNO) verschenen. Deze richtlijn betreft patiënten met wervelmetastasen van solide tumoren en wervellokalisaties van hematologische tumoren. In dit artikel worden enkele belangrijke aanbevelingen op het gebied van diagnostiek, behandeling en het vervolgtraject besproken.
