Op 6 april 20016 promoveerde Wendy Hopmans aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam op het proefschrift, getiteld ‘Shared decision making about treatment for stage I non-small cell lung cancer’. Het onderzoek werd verricht in het VU medisch centrum/EMGO+ Instituut onder begeleiding van de promotoren mw. prof. dr. D.R.M. Timmermans (afdeling Sociale Geneeskunde) en dhr. prof. dr. S. Senan (afdeling Radiotherapie) en copromotor mw. dr. O.C. Damman (afdeling Sociale Geneeskunde). Hieronder staan de belangrijkste bevindingen weergegeven.
