Op 11 mei 2023 promoveerde Sarah Verhoeff aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen op haar proefschrift, getiteld: ‘Molecular PET imaging to steer treatment for cancer patients’. Haar promotoren waren prof. dr. C.M.L. van Herpen (afdeling Medische Oncologie, Radboudumc), prof. dr. M.M. van den Heuvel (afdeling Longziekten, Radboudumc) en prof. dr. S. Heskamp (afdeling Beeldvorming, Nucleaire Geneeskunde, Radboudumc). Copromotor was dr. E.H.J.G. Aarntzen (afdeling Beeldvorming, Nucleaire Geneeskunde, Radboudumc). De belangrijkste bevindingen uit dit proefschrift worden hieronder beschreven.
