Op 23 oktober 2024 promoveerde Nick Landman aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op zijn proefschrift getiteld ‘Identifying novel therapies against BAP1-deficient mesothelioma’. Zijn promotor was prof. dr. M.M.S. van Lohuizen (afdeling Moleculaire Genetica, Nederlands Kanker Instituut, Amsterdam). Co-promotor was dr. J. Badhai (post-doctoraal onderzoeker in de groep van prof. dr. Van Lohuizen, binnen de afdeling Moleculaire Genetica van het Nederlands Kanker Instituut). De belangrijkste bevindingen uit dit proefschrift worden hieronder beschreven.
