Neoadjuvante behandeling van HER2-positief mammacarcinoom met chemotherapie (platinum en taxanen) en dubbele HER2-blokkade (trastuzumab en pertuzumab) leidt bij veel patiënten tot een pathologische complete remissie. De TRAIN-2-studie onderzoekt of het toevoegen van anthracyclines deze resultaten verder verbetert. Daarnaast zal worden gezocht naar prognostische en predicitieve biomarkers voor respons na neoadjuvante behandeling.
