Op 17 april 2018 promoveerde K.H.J. Groenen aan de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen op haar proefschrift getiteld ‘Spinal (in)stability in metastatic bone disease. Experimental, computational, and clinical perspectives’. Het onderzoek werd uitgevoerd in het Orthopaedic Research Laboratory van het Radboud universitair medisch centrum onder begeleiding van promotor prof. dr. ir. N.J.J. Verdonschot en copromotoren dr. E.J.M. Tanck en dr. Y.M. van der Linden (afdeling Radiotherapie, Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum). Hieronder staan de belangrijkste bevindingen van het onderzoek weergegeven.
